Attending the Online Marketing Magic 1 event was such an eye opener for understanding the world of social networking. Each presenter offered another insight into this extremely interesting subject, ranging from the enlightened psychological world of Graham Jones, the intricacies of blogging by Mark White, Jo Bryant¹s insight into using puppetry to show the use of avatars, the way social networking has inspired Paul Fawcus and how Tom Evans using his bookwright powers. A thoroughly fascinating morning to awaken our senses, channel our thoughts into the world of Web2.0, and realise the potential of social networking to further our businesses. What a chance to hear the wisdom imparted by these experts, all gathered in once place in an interactive atmosphere (a bit like social networking itself) all delivering snippets of their knowledge (again like Twitter), available to anyone who wants to listen and learn, and to enter the 21st century. It’s always a privilege to get the chance to increase my knowledge. As a Visual Marketer, it¹s important to explore the many ways how a business can be made more attractive to its customers, and increasing business exposure in media that enables visitors and readers to find out more about what you can do and how wonderful your business is, as a positive course of action. Any method of publicising your marketing message, gaining recognition of your brand and highlighting your expertise, such as in blogging and Twittering, is certainly beneficial.
