201007_big-band-town-hall_0130Welcome to the Jazzmouse newsletter for August.

It’s been a busy summer featuring concerts with Juan Martin, Syd Lawrence Orchestra and Will Todd. Juan Martin recorded a live DVD in London’s Barbican centre and the preview footage I have seen looks fantastic. I believe that the DVD will be available in the Autumn.
Will Todd has just completed a new CD at Jazzmouse. Featuring Will’s trio and four singers, this new work was recorded at Eastcote studio in London. We took the vocals and resampled some of them and aided Will in the composition of this piece.
Jazzmouse has also mixed and mastered the whole album which features Will’s new works Requiem and Durham Evensong. I will post news of the release in due course.
Guitarist David Jaggs has just taken delivery of his new CD. This project is an exploration of classical guitar music from Naváez, Bach and Villa-Lobos. This exquisite project was recorded, mixed and mastered at Jazzmouse and will be available both from David and in the Jazzmouse webshop.
Jazz vocal star Eleanor Keenan has just completed her new vocal album featuring herself and 3 great piano players, Trevor Brown, John Pearce and Phil Phillips. Eleanors album is a tribute to the great songwriters of our age and will be available at Syd Lawrence Orchestra concerts and via the Jazzmouse webshop in the Autumn.
